Our family enjoyed staying several nights at the UP Sunrise Resort. The cabins were comfortable for our family of 7. The lake area was a real hit with the kids. They loved using the assortment of paddle boats, kayaks, and paddle boards on the lake and spent hours out on the aqua park. If you are looking for a family friendly place to explore the UP, this is it! ♥️

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was comfortable and clean. Hosts were great, answered any concern promptly. Beautiful lake on site and the fall colors were beautiful! Great destination for young families, lots of places for little people to play. Our family of young adults enjoyed their stay, a short drive from Marquette. Thanks for everything!

I don’t know if you have ever found magic on a vacation but I did. ... My 3 kids aged 9,7 and 3 all cried when we left. They had the absolute best time of their little lives. They made friends instantly and stayed outside playing with the new friends until the street lamp came on. Remember those days? When it was safe to let your kids be kids and when they came in the house they were exhausted from play? That is what this place is. Sunrise Cottages is the “the good ole’ days”.

Cancellation Policy

One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

Pet Policy

We allow most dogs, but no other pets. Please read our Pet Policy page in full.

All dogs must be pre-approved. You can do this by calling us at 906-208-7178 or you can Send Inquiry below including a description of your dog in the Comments/Questions section.

Travel Insurance - Please Read

Travel insurance can reimburse your booking fees in part or in full if you need to cancel after the cutoff date for the cancellation period. Travel insurance is available during checkout, from your local agent, or from an online marketplace (lots of options and competitive rates). If something comes up at the last minute, we can’t bail you out, but travel insurance can.

U.P. Sunrise Cottages consists of nine quiet, cozy lakefront cottages in the heart of the Upper Peninsula, on spring-fed Farmer Lake in Little Lake, Michigan.

Many of our guests make day trips to places including Marquette and Pictured Rocks in Munising, while others spend their entire vacation relaxing at our waterfront.
